Baitlab Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the provider of Baitlab. By

creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept

them, do not use Baitlab.

They are written to describe what the app actually does. They are not legal

advice, and they have not been reviewed by a lawyer.

1. Who you are dealing with

Baitlab is provided by Mika Kuusisto, a sole trader in Finland, trading as

Kuusisto Tech.

These are the contact details for anything formal: consumer questions, data

protection requests, legal notices.

2. What Baitlab is

Baitlab is an app for writing down soft-plastic bait recipes, recording the

pours you make from them, and publishing recipes for other people to read and

copy. It is a notebook and a community, not a shop: nothing physical is sold

through it.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old. One account is for one person. You are

responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password

to yourself. Give us an email address that reaches you — it is the only way we

can help you recover the account.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete

account. Deleting it removes your recipes, photos, posts, comments and

followers permanently.

4. Your content stays yours

Anything you write or upload remains yours. By publishing it in Baitlab you

give us permission to store it, display it to other users, and — for a recipe

you publish — allow other users to copy it into their own accounts. That

permission lasts as long as the content is in the app and ends when you delete

it, except for copies other people already made, which are theirs.

Only upload things you have the right to upload. Do not post other people's

photographs, and do not publish a recipe you were given in confidence.

5. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

**There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in

Baitlab.** This is not a slogan; it is how the app is built:

automatically before it spreads. Anything the check is unsure about is held

for a person to look at.

it.

from your view and stops them contacting you.

account that posted it is ejected, within 24 hours of the report.

You may not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, violent,

sexually explicit, or that targets a person or group. You may not impersonate

anyone, scrape the app, resell access to it, or use it to advertise something

unrelated to bait making.

6. Safety — read this one

Pouring soft plastics means heating plastisol to around 175 °C. Done wrong it

burns you, and overheated plastisol gives off fumes that are harmful to breathe.

**Recipes in Baitlab are written by other users. Nobody checks that a recipe is

safe, sensible, or that its amounts are right.** Treat every recipe as someone's

note to themselves, not as instructions from a manufacturer. Follow the safety

guidance of the plastisol and colourant you actually hold, work with

ventilation, and use the protective equipment those products call for.

You pour at your own risk.

7. Free and Pro

Baitlab is free to use. The free tier keeps five recipes; publishing to Explore

is free at every tier.

Pro unlocks unlimited recipes and lets you copy any published recipe into

your own account. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription:

Those are the United States prices. Every store sets the price in local currency, and the exact amount you will be charged is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.

Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the

purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and at

the regular price — after any free trial or introductory offer the store shows

you — unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings — we cannot

cancel it for you, and deleting your Baitlab account does not cancel it.

Prices are in euros and include VAT where it applies. Prices in other

currencies are set by the store.

In the Android app you may also receive one free month of Pro for finishing the

getting-started steps. It ends by itself and does not renew.

8. Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple or Google, so refunds are theirs to give:

We cannot refund a store purchase directly. If something in the app is broken,

write to us anyway — we would rather fix it.

Under EU consumer law you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance

purchase. Digital content and services you have started using are an exception

to that right, and by subscribing you agree that access begins immediately.

This does not limit your other rights as a consumer.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Baitlab and delete your account whenever you like.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why

unless doing so would help someone break them again. If we close your account

for something you did not do, tell us and we will look at it.

10. What we do not promise

Baitlab is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without

interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that anything you read in it is

accurate. Recipes, comments and photos come from users, not from us.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by

negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under Finnish

law. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for

indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or lost profit, and our total

liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, the app will say so before the

change takes effect. The date at the top is always the current version.

12. Law and disputes

Finnish law applies. If you are a consumer you keep the protections of your own

country's law, and you may bring a case in your own courts.

If we cannot settle a dispute between us, a consumer in Finland can take it to

the Consumer Disputes Board (https://www.kuluttajariita.fi) after contacting

the Consumer Advisory Service (https://www.kkv.fi/en/consumer-advice/). The EU

online dispute resolution platform is at https://ec.europa.eu/odr.
